More than forty members attended the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Centurion Convention Centre on November 17. A comprehensive report of activities held since the last AGM in 2020 was presented by President Linda Yan and other members of the executive. Treasurer Roger Régimbal presented the 2021 year-end financial report and spoke about the current state of the district finances. The election of the 2023 Executive members was held under the leadership of Past President, Dawn Paxton.

It was also the occasion to recognize and honour two District Council members for their longtime dedicated work on the Goodwill committee. The 2022 Exceptional Service Award was awarded to Gail Taillon and Judy Gurr. As Judy is presently travelling, the executive decided to present her with the award at another event.

Ian Johnston, one of the 2022 RTOERO District University Scholarships was in attendance and he was recognized publicly. Ian was accompanied by his father and sponsor, Rodger Johnston an RTOERO District 27 member. The other recipient, Rosalyne Filion-Casey was unable to attend as she was supply teaching. However, Francine Filion, her mother and sponsor was present to accept the award on her behalf.

Adele Casuga, coordinator of the Canadian Martyrs Parish-Centre 507 Sandwich Club, spoke about the club's project for which they received a $4000 RTOERO Community Grant. On a weekly basis, home-based parishioners of Canadian Martyrs Church prepare a variety of nutritious sandwiches for Centre 507 in Centertown Ottawa. Funding for this project supports the purchase of fresh, healthy ingredients to make sandwiches. The ingredient kits are delivered to the homes of parishioners, and the wrapped assembled sandwiches are picked up the next day and delivered to Centre 507.

Members present were treated to a nice complimentary luncheon. Thanks to the organizers, the RTOERO District 27 AGM was a success.
