RTO/ERO District 27, Ottawa-Carleton, is a vibrant, active organization made up of Retired Teachers and other Education workers. It is a not-for-profit organization. Even in retirement, our members continue to give back to their communities and volunteer in various ways. They do so not only by volunteering and giving of their valuable time, energy, and expertise but also through community out-reach programs such as RTO/ERO’s University and College Scholarship and Bursaries programs which grants 25 bursaries of $1500 to students in their final year. Locally, District 27 grants four bursaries of $500 each are given to students at Algonquin College and La Cité collégiale annually.

The 2017-2018 Scholarship Document is now posted on the website at:  https://www.rto-ero.org/programs-services/scholarship-program
 The documentation includes:

  • Background information on the program – please note that the deadline date is now the close of business on February 20, 2018.
  • PDF sample of the application so that applicants can review what information and documentation they will need to provide to successfully complete the application.
  • 2017-2018 Scholarship Application:  please note that this application is accessed and completed by the student using the sponsoring member’s membership number.
